Back in the day, a hacker was a guy in a hoodie hunched over some cybercafe keyboard. Today’s hacker is likely to be paid good money by an offshore company and given training, resources and an array of sophisticated tools to do their job.

Because the media tends to focus on cyberattacks on large organisations and government departments, small business owners often believe they’re not ‘big’ enough to be a target. However, 50% of all cyberattacks are targeted toward small businesses.
